Remember why we Celebrate Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holiday !*
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet during the
holidays a
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Please remember why we celebrate Christmas,
God Bless
Judy and family

Judy~ I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

Sweet Holiday wishes,
Sara

Hello Judy, Oh how true this is. I have come across so many times lately that people don't understand "where God was" I think to myself "he's just where you put him, out of everything, that's where he is".
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, I have been thinking about you and pray you are doing OK.
Blessings, Shirl

DEAR JUDY,
I JUST REALIZED I AM A FOLLOWER OF YOUR BLOG. MY DAUGHTER WON HER BATTLE WITH CANCER AND GRADUATED TO HEAVEN TO BE WITH JESUS ON OCTOBER 23, 2009. I KNOW SHE IS IN THE BEST OF HANDS BUT IT IS JUST ABOUT TO KILL ME. SHE PASSED AT OUR HOME WITH HOSPICE SUPERVISING...I CAN'T GET PAST HOW MUCH SHE SUFFERED AND WEIGHED 48 POUNDS AT HER DEATH....YES, FOURTY EIGHT POUNDS.
HOW HAVE YOU DEALT WITH LOOSING STACEY OTHER THAN YOUR FAITH....I HAVE BEEN TO THE DR. TWICE AND HAVE BEEN PUT ON PAXIL AND ANTIVAN.....I SAW HER DIE BUT MY MIND WON'T ACCEPT SHE IS GONE AND I EXPECT HER TO COME THROUGH THE DOOR.......I KEPT HER BLACKBERRY ACTIVATED SO I CAN CALL AND HEAR HER VOICE. THERE WAS A COUPLE OF TIMES AT FIRST I FORGOT SHE DIED AND WENT RUNNING TO THE LIVING ROOM TO TAKE CARE OF HER..........MY DR. SAID IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME FOR MY DH AND I TO GET THROUGH THIS BECAUSE IT WAS VERY TRAUMATIC.
WERE YOU AFRAID YOU WOULD FORGET WHAT STACEY LOOKED LIKE EVEN THOUGH YOU HAD PICTURES OF HER. I HAVE NO GRANDCHILDREN.....I CRY AND CRY
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING.

I agree that Jesus is the reason for the season! And Christmas has definitely gotten too commercialized as well.
