Happy Pink Saturday

Talk about Pink, This is the ultimate in pink luxury, A pink Thunderbird, I'm not sure of the model. I have a hard time telling a volkswagon from a Cadillac. LOL! We had a car show in town, Pigeon Forge, Tenn., last weekend. Called Shades of the past. You could see every kind of car you can imagine. Isn't if funny how cars bring back a specific memory from our past. Years ago, there were not many car companies so you could tell which one you were looking by just a glance, except me of course, now there are so many different companies, they just all look alike.

These are a few of the others we saw. The first car Darrell and I purchased after we were married was a 1968 Camaro super sport. Gold and black convertible, Do I wish we had that car now. If I ever hit the lottery I will find one to purchase. lol!

The first car we purchased for our son in 1997 was a 1987 transam. At the time it had been garage kept and was in mint condition with very low mileage. He still has it and plans to keep it. hopefully someday he will be able to restore it. Of course being a teenager he put a few dents in it.
This weekend there is another show and it is the rod run.
Enjoy you tour through the pink today. Just click on the pink lady of the left and visit Bev. our hostess and you will be on your way.
Hugs.
Judy

The old cars really bring back memories. When my hubby and i got married, we had a white 63 white chev impala. He always wanted a 55 T-bird convertible. I still like looking at old cars. Some have spent a lot of money in there restoring of their cars. Have a great weekend.

I love old Thunderbirds! Besides the look of them which I love, I grew up in Dearborn MI -home of Ford Motor Co. I saw many Thunderbirds in my youth and my high school team was the Thunderbirds! Happy Pink Saturday!

That is a wonderful photo of the pink Cadillac :-). I've always wondered who drives the cars that have such unusual colors. I'm going to guess that this one was driven by the daughter of a Texas oilman.

Happy Pink Saturday Judy,
I so love this trip down hot rod road. How fun is this? I to am loving that pink Thunderbird. My Uncle Doyle had one, a white one, and when he passed he left it to his son, his son sold it. Uncle Doyle would have had a fit. That car was mint. Kids today just do not know what they have. Thanks again, my husband had a 1969 cherry red Firebird. While I was in the hospital having had Heidi, he sold it and bought us a family van. I loved that car. I still cannot believe he sold it. Ofcourse today he is kicking himself. God only knows where it ended up. This was wonderful memories for a lot of us. Thanks sweetie for sharing, and for the memories you gave each of us Pinkies. Happy Pink Saturday, Country hugs, Sherry

Those car shows are a weekly fun project around here. The group are called Whiskey City Cruisers, due to all the bourbon you know. This is Bourbon Festival week in Ky. and that is something else. People from all over the world are here. The Japanese are really into the bourbon.
Love the pink one.
